Course Description

This course provides an understanding of the concepts and features that allow Real-time Studio (Modeler or Professional) to be installed and run successfully for any specific software development project. It covers a set of topics concerned with the project infrastructure that can make a real contribution to the success of the project and ensure that you gain maximum benefit from your investment in Real-time Studio (RtS).

Course Objectives

  • To explain how RtS can be optimally installed and configured for specific project environments.
  • To examine RtS system administration facilities at both repository and model level.
  • To provide practical experience of diagnostic approaches to troubleshooting.

Attendees Will Learn

  • Installation and software licensing options.
  • The structure and functioning of Softlab's Enabler repositories.
  • How RtS uses the facilities provide by Enabler's repository architecture.
  • How to backup and restore at both the repository and model level.
  • How to set up access permissions for groups or individuals.
  • What configuration control features are provided by RtS and how these may be integrated with external configuration control software.

Pre-requisites

Familiarity with Windows user administration facilities.
